PileLAT Version 2.6.3 Release
We are pleased to announce the release of PileLAT Version 2.6.3, featuring a range of enhancements to the US unit system, CPT interpretation, nonlinear bending stiffness input, file handling performance, Excel spreadsheet export, and overall usability.
The key improvements and updates included in this release are summarised below:
Version 2.6.3 - October 2026
Updates:
US Unit System Improvements
Further improvements have been made to the US unit system throughout PileLAT. Unit conversion, input/output display, and result presentation have been reviewed to provide more consistent handling of US customary units.
The bending stiffness unit is now displayed correctly in the analysis output. In the previous version, the unit associated with the pile bending stiffness (EI) was displayed incorrectly.

The PileLAT Excel Spreadsheet Export function has been enhanced to support the US unit system. When a model is configured to use US units, the exported Excel spreadsheets now present analysis results directly in the corresponding US units, including pile deflections, forces, bending moments, soil reactions, stresses, and other relevant output quantities. This enhancement provides more convenient and consistent reporting for projects where US customary units are used for analysis, design, and documentation.
CPT Interpretation Improvements
The CPT interpretation module has been updated to align with the latest implementation in ALLCPT v2.7, including the support to US units. These updates improve consistency in CPT data processing and interpretation between PileLAT and ALLCPT, providing a more streamlined workflow for users who incorporate CPT data into their lateral pile analyses.

Nonlinear Bending Stiffness
The Nonlinear Bending Stiffness input dialog has been enhanced to provide a clearer and more convenient workflow for defining and managing nonlinear pile-section behaviour.
The updated interface makes it easier to enter and review user-defined moment–curvature (M–κ) relationships. A new Insert Row button has also been added, allowing users to insert a new data point directly below the currently selected row.

Several issues associated with nonlinear bending stiffness analysis have also been corrected. In the previous version, incorrect analysis results could occur when the user-defined moment–curvature data did not start from the origin (0, 0). In addition, the use of nonlinear bending stiffness with the specified pile-head displacement loading condition could produce incorrect analysis results. Both issues have now been corrected.
Performance
The input file loading process has been optimised in PileLAT v2.6.3. This results in faster loading of existing PileLAT project files, particularly for models containing larger amounts of input data with multiple soil layers.
Documentation
Minor updates to the PileLAT User Manual.
