Network License Server Setup

License keys for our products are based on Sentinel technology. This page demonstrates how to set up the license server and how to access the license on the server from the client computer.

Step 1: Install Sentinel HASP Driver (Both Server Computer and Client Computer)

 

For both server and client computers, you need to install Sentinel HASP Driver first as per this link.

Step 2: License Server Setup (Server Computer Only)

 

This step is carried out on the license server computer. We need to allow client computers to access the license key installed on the server. Once Sentinel HASP Driver is successfully installed, the users can go to Sentinel Admin Control Center Configuration as per the link below (copy to the browser):

Under the tab of "Access from Remote Clients", selecting the check box of "All licenses are accessible without need of identity" allows the license server to be accessed by the client computer. To apply changes on this page, click Submit.

Step 3: Client Computer Setup (Client Computers Only)

 

This step is carried out on the client computers only. We need to allow client computers to access the license key installed on the server. The users can specify this by going to Sentinel Admin Control Center Configuration as per the link below (copy to the brower):

Under the tab of "Access to Remote License Managers", select the check box of "Allow Access to Remote Licenses" and "Broadcast Search for Remote Licenses". 

 

Input the computer name or IP address of the license server machine into the Remote License Search Parameters. To apply changes on this page, click Submit.
