Version 2.6.1 - June 2026
New Features
The CPT Manager has been enhanced to improve the import of CPT data in imperial units. Additional unit options are now available for qc, fs, and u2 data. In previous versions, qc was fixed to tsf, while fs and u2 were fixed to psi. In this release, users can select either tsf or psi for all three CPT parameters, providing greater flexibility when importing CPT data from different sources.

In the PileAXL Output Program, analysis results displayed in a chart can be modified by double-clicking within the chart area, which opens the Plot Results Selection window. The analysis result corresponding to the selected chart is automatically highlighted and displayed.
In previous versions, the Results Selection window always defaulted to the first chart, regardless of which chart was double-clicked. This has now been improved so that the window automatically opens with the result item corresponding to the chart where the double-click action was performed.

In the previous versions, all the PileAXL example files are copied to the default program installation folder under C:\Program Files\PileAXL after the program installation. This default path will result in the "Acess Violation" warning as some users might not have the right to access the path of C:\Program Files. In this release, this has been changed to C:\Users\Public\Documents\PileAXL to avoid the access issues.

In the View/Edit Pile Section window, the advanced options for pipe section have been clarified. The Closed-Ended Pipe Pile option is now labelled as Closed-Ended Pipe Pile (Fully Plugged), while the Open-Ended Pipe Pile option is labelled as Open-Ended Pipe Pile (Unplugged). These updated labels clearly indicate that the closed-ended pipe pile is analysed with a fully plugged pile toe condition, whereas the open-ended pipe pile is analysed with an unplugged pile toe condition.

Bug Fixes
In previous versions, CPT option settings that used imperial units—such as soil unit weight, water unit weight, and atmospheric pressure—were not saved and reloaded correctly by the program. This issue has been resolved in this release, and all CPT option parameters using imperial units can now be saved and opened properly.
