We are pleased to announce that PileAXL 2.6 is released with the following key improvements and updates:
Version 2.6 - September 2025
New Features:
Program Interface:
Additional guidance on the empirical parameters has been provided within the dialog for defining the input parameters of Fleming’s method.

A new checkbox is added to the dialog of pile load settlement curve plot to enable the users to exchange the plotting axes of pile load settlement curve plot. For example, the horizontal axis can be pile axial load and the vertical axis can be pile settlement. In the previous version, the horizontal axis is the pile settlement and the vertical axis is the pile axial load only.
Two additional floating menu items are added to the dialog of pile load settlement plot:
"Display Pile Settlement Curve Beyond Applied Load" and "Display Pile Settlement Curve up to Applied Load".
The first one enables the users to view the complete pile load settlement curve beyond the applied load at the pile head.
The second option displays the pile load settlement curve up to the applied load at the pile head.

The dialog of "Axial Load Distribution Curves" is now renamed to "More Pile Settlement Analysis Results".
A new menu item is added to the dialog of "More Pile Settlement Analysis Results". Five different result types can be displayed on the plot area of this dialog by selecting the menu item:
Axial load distribution along the pile length.
Node settlement distribution along the pile length.
Mobilized shaft resistance along the pile length.
Mobilized shaft resistance ratio along the pile length.
Mobilized soil spring for shaft resistance mobilization along the pile length.
A new checkbox is added to the dialog of "More Pile Settlement Analysis Results" to enable the users to exchange the plotting axes of various results plot on this dialog.
The main toolbar is now placed directly under the main menu of the program.
The right-side toolbar is now removed and the button items on the previous right-side toolbar are merged into the left-side toolbar.
The font scaling in the output window has been improved when users maximize or restore the window. In the previous version, the font size could appear excessively large when the output window was maximized to full screen.
The program can now store up to 9 recent files, allowing users to access their input files more conveniently. Previously, only 4 recent files were supported.
PileAXL Output Program:
Pile axial capacity plots and corresponding tabulated results are now displayed in the tab window.
Bugs fixed
In the previous version, pile settlement results were not displayed correctly when the load increment number was set greater than 10. This issue has now been fixed.
Other minor issues
