PileLAT Updates
The latest version of PileLAT is Version 2.5.2 which was released in October 2023.
The following updates are included in PileLAT Version 2.5.2 released on 1 October 2023:

-
Fixed an issue of displaying applied bending moment at the pile head when the rigid pile head boundary is specified.
-
Fixed an issue of saving pushover analysis results. In the previous version, not all the inputs for pushover analysis are saved.
-
Improved the calculation performance for solving the nonlinear equations for laterally loaded piles.
-
Improved the calculation speed when nonlinear bending stiffness and free-field displacement loading are included.
-
Updated the numerical setting parameter list in the input dialog.
-
Added a checkbox for displaying the specified point loads in the main plot.
-
Added a checkbox for displaying the specified line loads in the main plot.
-
Added a checkbox for displaying the specified free-field displacement loads in the main plot.
-
Updated the running message dialog to show more relevant information when the calculation is ongoing.
-
Updated the shear force result plot. In the previous version, the force forces from both element ends are included in the result plot. In the new version, only the shear force at the top node of the element is included in the plot.
-
Added an option of scaling factor in the dialog of 3D Plot Setting. This scaling factor can be used to adjust the horizontal line length of the result plot at the pile node location.
-
Liquefied sand p-y curve model now correctly uses the normalized depth.
-
The dialog of "Define soil layers" is now improved to display the input soil layers and the layer top elevation information.
-
Added a new function is to import or export the p-y curve models.
-
Added a new function is to import or export the user-defined moment and curvature relationship for the nonlinear bending stiffness options.
-
Fixed an issue of opening the recent files from the dropdown menu.
-
Added p-y curve model for non-liquefied crust for cohesive soils based on NZTA 553 July 2014.
-
Added p-y curve model for non-liquefied cohesionless soils based on NZTA 553 July 2014.
-
Added p-y curve model for liquefied soils based on NZTA 553 July 2014.
